MOVEMENT AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS

Neurologists have described movement both with the normal reaction, sensation and action, and with the monosynaptic reflex arc, which is a shortcut that allows us to contract the muscle even before there is awareness of pain in the classic example of a burn. However, there is a much faster way of responding to stimuli that comes into play in certain circumstances, for example in life-saving reactions that occur in emergency situations and (for what matters most to us) in exceptional performance at the level. athletic, artistic and sporty. To this modality we give the name of “continuun pathway” or “continuous path” that is a real shortcut between the receptor and the muscle, between sensation and action, which transmits both the information coming from the senses and the necessary energy to the functioning of the muscles. In practice, the adjective “continuous” refers to this “way” for energy and sensory information that includes the nerves but is not limited to them. In terms of evolution it is an older way of the nervous system! The function of the “continuous path” allows us to move at a speed and with a higher coordination than those allowed by the nervous system, that is, before we are aware of why we are moving.

TWO KINDS OF TIME

There are two main types of consciousness. The neurological one originates from the operations of the nerves and the brain; a second type of consciousness is referred to by us as connective tissue consciousness or continuous consciousness. Its way passes through the continuous path in the living matrix. Consciousness of connective tissue is much faster than neurological awareness, and in fact precedes it. This consciousness is formed because the living matrix is an excitable medium, just like nerve cells. We become aware of this second type of consciousness only on extraordinary occasions such as during an accident, practicing martial arts or in exceptional performances in the athletic or artistic field, when all parts of our body move at such a level of speed. and coordination which are much faster than thought.

BIOLOGICAL COMMUNICATIONS
